SANDAKAN: The Government must have an effective way to control price increases and help the people face the problem of the rising living costs, urged Elopura Assemblyman Calvin Chong.
He said, although inflation is a global issue, the government has so far failed to show help to the people in dealing with the problem, such as providing some daily necessities and food subsidies to control the prices of vegetables and chicken in the market.
“Sabah has vast land and a sparse population, and the agricultural sector should receive major development, so that Sabah can become the “heart” of Malaysia’s economic recovery as soon as possible.
