Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s poverty eradication drive needs to exploit agri-tech which is the use of technology for farming that is developed to improve efficiency and profitability. While most commonly used in horticulture and agriculture, agri-tech is also found in forestry, aquaculture and viticulture.

Datuk Lee Swi Heng, the Malaysia International Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sabah new chairman said this as a panellist at the launching event of the World Bank Group’s Malaysia Economic Monitor panel discussion on “Catching Up: Inclusive Recovery & Growth for Lagging States” moderated by Dr Amanina Abdur Rahman, and participated by IDS CEO Dr Ramzah Dambul, Sabah SME Association head Foo Ngee Kee, and businesswoman Faezrah Rizalman, recently.
