Kota Kinabalu: Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn Bhd (TAED) is keen to acquire and redevelop the Sabah Trade Centre (STC) site if it is up for redevelopment or sale by the State Government.

Currently, the STC, with its exhibition building boarded up because the premises has no occupancy certificate (OC), is under the control of the State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry.

TAED Chairman Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said he consulted Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on his plan to use the STC to house BIMP-EAGA Office as well as for BIMP-EAGA exhibition activities to promote products and services of traders and entrepreneurs.

Pandikar, who is also Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Sabah Adviser and Special Envoy with ministerial status, told the media this at his BIMP-EAGA Advisor Office at Menara Kinabalu, here, recently.
