RANAU: The Bombon or Tagal system is able to create an economy for the local population as well as foster unity and consensus with outside visitors in addition to its main objective of maintaining the ecosystem of various river water life.
Such is the hope and goal to be achieved to create the Tagal Sungai Kepuakan near Kg Togop Darat about 48 km from the town here which started operating since 2014 under the supervision of the Ranau District Fisheries Department.
Chairman of Sungai Kopuakan Togop Darat Bombon, Gidam@Androow Gimih said during the Bombon opening recently that since the enforcement Tagal the residents breathed a sigh of relief because the use of poisons such as “tuba” and explosives had been controlled.
