Taguig police nab wanted persons

THE Taguig City Police Station (TCPS) announced on Sunday the arrest of all the Top 10 Most Wanted Persons on the June list.

In a statement, TCPS chief Col. Julius Añonuevo said this feat demonstrates the sustainability of their campaign against wanted persons, which resulted in the arrest of all wanted persons in the city for the past six months.

He added that police subjected all suspects to intelligence monitoring, focused manhunt operations, and coordinated efforts with partner law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders.

Añonuevo said these wanted personalities are facing various criminal charges, including statutory rape, child abuse, statutory sexual assault, qualified rape, illegal drug offenses, robbery, carjacking, and assault on a person in authority.

“Every wanted person arrested is another step toward making our communities safer. We thank the public and our partner agencies for their continued cooperation, and we assure our residents that the Taguig City Police will remain relentless in pursuing those who are evading justice,” he added.

Añonuevo thanked Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano for her continued support in strengthening the TCPS’s operational capability.

“We are grateful to Mayor Lani Cayetano for her continued support. The city’s assistance in improving our operational capability, mobility, and resources has strengthened our ability to carry out our mandate and deliver better public safety services to our communities,” he added.

TCPS’ June accomplishment follows similar operations in previous months that led to the arrest of all station-level Top 10 Most Wanted Persons, showing the sustained effectiveness of the station’s intelligence-driven manhunt operations.
