The Best Mooncakes in KL for Mid-Autumn 2026 

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

Two unconventional yet equally tempting flavours take the spotlight this year: Salted Butter Scotch Brownie and Coffee Custard Yolk in Chocolate Skin. Yet again, Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur has pulled out all the stops to create their signature dainty mooncakes that expertly pair timeless traditions with exciting new details. Led by Chinese culinary expert Chef Loong, the team at Yun house has come up with an exquisite lineup that blends flavour, craft, and legacy. 

On top of the traditionally-baked mooncakes available in five flavours—Pandan Lotus Seed Paste, Red Bean Paste, and Eight-Nut Treasure, to name a few, the hotel’s innovative snow skin collection is the one to try. The elaborate skin is infused with mint, dragon fruit, and orchid, producing rich and floral notes with every bite. New flavours to try this season from the snow skin collection are the Bird’s Nest, Dragon Fruit and Pecan Nuts. These mooncakes are presented in elegant, jewellery-inspired gift boxes adorned with Malaysian weaving details.

Beyond that, you may personalise two other flavours, selecting between Red Bean Mochi, Matcha Red Bean, Chocolate Lava, and Durian Musang King.
