Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din appointed as ACAB Chairman

CORPORATE figure Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Advisory Board (ACAB) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for the 2025-2028 term, effective from 2nd February.

The appointment, which runs for a three-year term until 1st February 2028, was officially announced on the MACC’s website.

The announcement of the appointment was made by MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki during a meeting with Mohamad Salim at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya yesterday.

Also present at the meeting was the Director of the Policy, Planning, and Research Division of SPRM, Rasidah Abdul Karim.

According to MACC, Mohamad Salim’s appointment was made with the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and on the advice of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Act 694).

The primary role of the ACAB is to advise MACC on strategies, policies, and any matters relating to corruption issues in the country.

Under Section 13(2)(b) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, the Chief Commissioner of SPRM is appointed as an ex-officio member of the board. – March 19, 2025
