World Cup winner Marco Tardelli says Nicolo Zaniolo is right to have rejected Bournemouth.
Zaniolo wants to leave Roma, but refused to speak with a Bournemouth delegation which had flown to Rome last week.
Tardelli told RAI: "He's a young boy who needs help. I didn't like the fact that (Jose) Mourinho dumped him, even though he had helped him before. In my opinion, something like this shouldn't be done in a group.
"Mou has been doing it and he's been doing it very well, for years now. Zaniolo is a footballer with great qualities, if he learns to be a professional. He needs to recover, even for Roma.
"He has to stay calm and play. He was right not to go to Bournemouth, it's not a place for him. Zaniolo is also a resource in terms of the national team."
