
TAWAU: A jewellery shop in Jalan Dunlop suffered losses amounting to RM8,500 when a robber wearing face mask, believed to be in his 30s, stole two gold chains and a gold pendant, Wednesday.
Tawau District Deputy Police Chief Supt Champin Piuh said the police are hunting the suspect whose actions were recorded on closed-circuit cameras (CCTV) at the premises.
The shop owner, 68, lodged a report after his wife informed him of the incident. At the time of the incident, only the complainant, his wife and an employee were at the shop.
There was no security guard.
