LAHAD DATU: Sabah recorded 382 cases of domestic violence with Tawau recording the highest rate of 93 cases in 2022.
Assistant Minister of Community Development and People’s Welfare, Datuk Flovia Ng, said Tawau district recorded 14 cases of domestic violence from January to February this year.
Based on statistics from the Criminal Investigation Department, State Police Contingent Headquarters, some 382 cases of domestic violence were recorded in 2022 with 93 in Tawau 93, 69 in Kota Kinabalu 69, 31 in Semporna, 300 in Sandakan, 29 in Lahad Datu and 22 each in Penampang and Labuan.
