
Kota Kinabalu: Barring any rescheduling, Malaysia’s newest low-cost airline is to fly the klia2–Tawau route from Jan 21, 2023.
Currently, MYAirline has twice daily flights to Kota Kinabalu International Airport from klia2 with above 70 per cent load factor to 100 per cent load factor with just three aircraft fleet besides serving other Malaysian destination of Kuching, Langkawi, Kota Bharu, Penang and Sibu.
Another airline connectivity to Tawau Airport will boost tourism in Tawau, and Semporna which is without an airport, being the gateway to Sipadan and Mabul and other world renowned island diving sites.
