Nicole Taylor, who performed alongside her sisters in the country group Taylor Red, has died at 35 after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022.
Her triplet siblings and bandmates Natalie and Nika, confirmed the news in a YouTube video.
They said they were “shocked and heartbroken” to announce Nicole’s death.
Natalie said: “This isn’t a video we ever thought we’d be making. We thought she’d be here sharing her story of earthly healing. Instead, we’re sharing her story of heavenly healing and she’s at peace and no longer suffering, so we’re thankful for that.”
They announced that the singer had died on September 28 at her home in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nika added that Nicole was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2022, describing it as “very aggressive”. The disease later worsened and became stage four.
Nika said Nicole was “very black and white with what she believed and she wasn’t one to overthink too much.”
Growing up, the first instrument Nicole learned was the drums, according to her sisters. They described her as their “fearless leader”.
They said: “We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and will see her again.”
Nika added: “We want to thank y’all for your prayers and we want to thank the doctors and nurses who helped her along the way.”
The sisters hail from Hurley, Mississippi, and formed the band in 2010, initially under the name Red Roots.

Their first album, Red Roots, came out in 2011 followed by two more records, The Middle of Nowhere and Triplicity, over the next three years. However, they have not released an album since 2014.
The group then changed its name to Taylor Red in 2018. They are signed with Inpop Records, a Christian music label based in Nashville.
They have built a large following online, including on YouTube, where their channel has more than 16 million subscribers.
