- However, Swift appeared alongside longtime friend Mariska Hargitay, the star of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, in a pre-taped sketch played during the awards.
- Hargitay channeled her SVU character Olivia Benson to solve the mystery of whether Swift would attend the awards, before Swift herself made a cameo, dressed in a matching blazer and trousers.
- “I think what we’re going to be looking for is hiding in plain sight,” Swift told Hargitay, before rattling off what could be a series of Easter eggs for upcoming music or announcements: “Saccharide. Aries. From the vineyard. North or south.”
