TC Acoustics has announced that they have brought in the new flagship wireless headphones from Bowers & Wilkins, the Px8 S2, to grab a piece of that premium ANC wireless headphones market share.

Built from the success of the award-winning Px7 S3 and the original Px8, the Px8 S2 hosts a sleeker design and slimmer profile; heck, even the carry case is smaller now. The headband and earcups are wrapped in ultra-soft Nappa leather, balanced by lightweight aluminum arms with exposed cable details for that refined, premium feel.

Under the hood, it packs 40mm Carbon Cone drive units that have been reworked from the chassis down to the magnets, angled precisely toward the ears for better imaging and stereo spaciousness. The drivers are backed by a discrete headphone amplifier that gives more scale and authority to the sound, while wireless playback gets a boost from aptX Adaptive 24/96 and Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless for top-tier audio quality.

Streaming from services like Amazon Music, Qobuz, and TIDAL can be done directly through the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, which supports 24-bit/96kHz playback, and for versatility, you also get USB-C and 3.5mm connections right in the box.

Noise-cancelling is another big focus here. The Px8 S2 inherits B&W’s most advanced ANC tech to date, using eight microphones carefully placed across each earcup. Four of them handle ambient noise, two keep tabs on the driver output, and another two ensure crystal-clear voice pickup, all working with the brand’s ADI Pure Voice processing to keep calls sharp even in loud environments.

Battery life is solid at up to 30 hours with ANC on, and a quick 15-minute charge can give you seven more hours of playtime. Everything can be controlled through the Music app, which lets you tweak ANC transparency, EQ presets, and even assign functions to the Quick Action button. Physical controls are still on the cups, just refined for easier use.

B&W also says the Px8 S2 is built to evolve, with over-the-air updates adding new features like spatial audio later this year and Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast down the road.

The Px8 S2 is available starting today in Malaysia for RM3,299, and you can pick it up at tcacoustic.asia, the Sonos Concept Store at Starhill, the Bowers & Wilkins Official Store on Lazada, or at select retailers including Thundermatch, Flash Gadget, and PC Image.
