Arsenal have struck terms with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

The Sun says a loan move has been settled which could become permanent in the future with a 40million fee on the Juventus man.

The Gunners have seemingly beaten Premier League rivals Wolves to the signing of 25-year-old Rugani.

Arsenal had been aiming for a two-year loan deal with an option to buy the Italian after losing captain Laurent Koscielny.

Frenchman Koscielny, who refused to travel for the club's pre-season tour, has completed a 4.6million move to Bordeaux.

Arsenal have been on the hunt for a replacement ahead of the transfer window closing on Thursday evening.
