‘Teach children on safety, fire prevention’ advice

BEAUFORT: Education on safety and fire prevention procedures should begin at an early age said, Beaufort Fire and Rescue station chief, Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok.

"Children are the target group who should be advised against abusing lighters to burn flammable objects,” he said.

He said this after educating 40 children from Pusat Anak Permata Beaufort during a field trip to the station recently.

Muhammad Hasbullah said practical training is better absorbed by children as they remember and automatically act on the teachings.
