- Liam Walker, a 31-year-old humanities teacher, has been indefinitely banned from teaching after sending sexual messages to a 13-year-old girl.
- Walker, who taught at Sir William Stanier School in Crewe, Cheshire, used Snapchat and another online chatroom, employing usernames such as 'HungTeacherMeet' and 'Fit Teacher'.
- He corresponded with the girl, identified as 'Child A', for a week in August 2024, despite being informed she was 13 during their initial online interaction.
- A Teaching Regulation Agency panel upheld allegations that Walker asked intrusive questions about her sexual history and made other sexualised remarks, including 'are you looking for sex?'.
- The panel concluded his actions amounted to a 'serious departure from the personal and professional conduct elements of the Teachers’ Standards' and 'sexual misconduct', leading to the prohibition order to maintain public confidence.
