
Tuaran: A 41-year-old teacher was found dead, believed to have been murdered by her brother who reportedly is suffering from mental health issues, at a house in Tenghilan on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Celesty Christy Celestina Sili, was discovered lying in a pool of blood at the back of her family home.
Tuaran District Police Chief Supt Noraidin Ag Maidin said a team from the district police headquarters arrested the suspect on the same day.

The victim sustained injuries to the neck, head and both eyes caused by a sharp weapon,” he said.
Noraidin said the suspect is believed to have a history of mental illness and had previously received follow-up treatment at a health facility.
“The motive is still under investigation, while the post-mortem examination was conducted today at the Queen Elizabeth I Hospital Forensic Unit.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment of not less than 30 years and not more than 40 years, along with whipping, on conviction,” he said.
