Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Urban Development Corporation (SUDC) team clinched the closed title at the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) Golf Challenge 2022 held in conjunction with their 50th anniversary celebration at the Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club last Saturday.
The foursome of Ali Hassan Ag Salleh, Paul Voon, Anthony Dumpangol and Calvin Chung accumulated a total of 108 points to beat team Sedco C by three points with team SVH a further two points behind in third place.
In the open category, team D Fantastic 4 comprising Radin Yusuf, Jordan Mobijohn, Khalid Jikal and Mordiana Abdullah took the title with 115 points followed by team Qhazanah Sabah (111) and Gazetta Sports (109).
Meanwhile, the individual gross open title was won by Datu Goldah Keri (70) and second place went to Donnie Intung (74) with Khalid Jikal (80) in third, while Ishak Idris (84) took the gross closed title followed by Thor Gervasi (86) and Adian Alang (87).
In the nett open category, Radin Yusuf (68) clinched the title with Jordan Mobijohn (70) in second spot on countback (OCB) over Dexter David (70), and the top three places in the closed category went to Ali Hassan Ag Salleh (71), Mordiana Abdullah (72 OCB) and Marzuki Saiman (72).
A total of 124 golfers took part in the annual event organised by Sedco’s Sports And Social Club, and the guest of honour was Industrial Development Ministry’s permanent secretary Thomas Logijin who also gave away the prizes.
