
Kota Kinabalu: An 18-year-old teenager was charged with raping an underaged girl who he befriended through TikTok.
The teenager pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim, to the charge against him, Friday.
He is accused of raping the 15-year and seven-month-old during midnight on July 31, this year, inside a car parked at Kg Petagas area, Putatan.
The offence, under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, on conviction.

Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor DK Afiqah Alya offered no bail to the teenager on the grounds that he did not have any document.
Meanwhile, the teenager, who was not represented, claimed that he has JKM document and would find a counsel to represent him.
He informed the court that he knew the girl via TikTok application.
