Teen electric scooter rider collides with police vehicle after running stop sign

This is the moment a 15-year-old riding an electric scooter collided with a police patrol car after allegedly ignoring a stop sign.

The deputy was reportedly driving through a junction when the teenager collided with the vehicle in Bunnell, Florida, on June 3.

Dashcam footage shows the youngster riding towards the intersection before striking the front side of the patrol car.

Fragments of the scooter can be seen flying into the air as the teen falls to the ground, while the officer immediately brakes.

Officials confirmed that the teenager was not seriously injured in the incident. Local police later reminded riders to obey traffic signals, wear helmets if under 16, and to carry photo identification.
