A 13-year-old girl has died after a fall from a high-rise condominium in Tanjung Tokong, with police ruling out foul play.
GEORGE TOWN: A 13-year-old girl has died after a fall from a condominium in Tanjung Tokong.
Timur Laut District Police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police received a public report at 6.45 pm yesterday.
Preliminary investigations found the victim had allegedly fallen from her 16th-floor residence.
She was discovered unconscious on the building’s eighth floor.
“She was pronounced dead at the scene,” Abdul Rozak said in a statement.
He added that an examination of the body found no elements of foul play.
The body has been sent to the Forensic Medicine Department at Penang Hospital for a post-mortem.
The case has been classified as a sudden death.
A police report has been opened to complete the investigation.
