Teen missing since last week found safe in Bukit Bintang

SHAH ALAM, July 3 - A teenage boy, who was reported missing since last Tuesday (June 23) after leaving his home in Pangsapuri Rimba, Section 16, was found safe in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Sarudin Samah said Muhammad Shazriq Ziqri Abdullah, 14, was found by his parents at a pedestrian area near a fast-food restaurant in Bukit Bintang at 3am.

They then took him to the Section 9 police station to file a report on his discovery.

"Investigations found that the boy had left home after being scolded by his mother over his declining academic performance.

"The boy loitered around the Bukit Bintang area and slept at a fast-food restaurant nearby throughout the time that he was reported missing,” he said in a statement today, adding that Shazriq was not injured and was in good health.
