  • Four individuals, including three teenagers and a young woman, have been arrested in connection with cyber attacks targeting Marks & Spencer, Co-op, and Harrods.
  • The National Crime Agency (NCA) made the arrests early on Thursday morning at the suspects' home addresses.
  • The individuals, aged between 17 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of blackmail, money laundering, Computer Misuse Act offences, and participating in an organised crime group.
  • The arrests follow investigations into incidents where hackers sought ransom payments after breaching the retailers' IT systems.
  • All four suspects remain in custody as the NCA's specialist cybercrime investigators continue their high-priority inquiry.
