KUALA LUMPUR – Roads around the Sultan Iskandar Building immigration checkpoint in Johor Bahru have been inundated, resembling “teh tarik”, after a downpour earlier today.

Vehicles had to navigate the heavy traffic and muddy roads around the checkpoint as well as Johor Bahru City Square and Komtar JBCC.

By 3pm, the floodwaters appeared to be receding.

However, bad weather also hit other parts of Johor, such as Kota Tinggi, Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, and Kulai.

According to Kota Tinggi police, at least 88 people from 22 families have been evacuated to a temporary relief centre in SK Bukit Lintang. – May 4, 2024
