  • Tehran's skyline was blanketed by heavy smoke on Sunday, 8 March, following Israeli strikes on oil storage facilities and refineries.
  • The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported that approximately 20 large oil storage tanks were targeted in the attack on Saturday, 7 March, causing a major fire at the Aqdasieh fuel depot.
  • Footage depicted plumes of dark smoke from the oil facility lingering and merging with the cloudy sky over the Iranian capital.
  • The National Iranian Oil Company confirmed that oil depots in both Tehran and Alborz provinces were struck, and four of its employees were killed in the blitz.
  • Following the attacks, Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his government would continue its assaults and strike Iran's rulers "without mercy".
