PENAMPANG: The National Business Group Economic Fund (Tekun Nasional) is aiming to channel financing of RM84.5 million to 4,393 micro and informal entrepreneurs in Sabah, said Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Of the sum, Ewon said RM2.5 million would be allocated to 500 entrepreneurs trading at the Pasar Tamu (farmer’s market).

He said the allocation was under Budget 2024, where Tekun Nasional was allocated RM330 million by the Federal Government to help micro and informal entrepreneurs in their businesses.
