KUALA LUMPUR – All local telecommunications providers have been given the mandate to offer affordable packages for 5G services.
Communication and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said this is to meet the target of up to 80% coverage of populated areas by year-end.
He added that his ministry has been instructed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to aggressively address issues related to 5G.
“The prime minister told me to resolve the 5G issues quickly. We want to achieve 80% coverage for populated areas.
“So now it is up to all telecommunications companies to offer reasonable prices (to consumers),” he said during an event in Desa Rejang here today. – The Vibes, February 28, 2023
