KOTA BELUD: The Tempasuk Parti Gerakan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) respects the rights of any individual who wishes to run as a candidate in the Tempasuk state seat in the coming 17th State Election (PRN17).
Its Information Chief Dzulirwan Rashkin said Tempasuk is not a political experiment arena but an area that requires continued authoritative leadership for the well-being of the people.
“Rather than simply ‘scouting’ for political opportunities, PGRS, under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), is committed to continuing to work for the interests of the people.
“Our priority is to ensure that the progress that has been achieved is not disrupted by uncertain political experiments”, said Dzulirwan in a statement.
Commenting on the recent announcement by GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor to re-nominate Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari as a candidate, Dzulirwan said it was made based on his exemplary service record as a representative of the people in the area.
“Politics is about going to the field, understanding the pulse of the people and proving unconditional commitment, something that Datuk Arsad and GRS have done all along,” Dzulirwan said.
