Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants the club to deliver two of his key transfer targets.
The Dutchman is taking over at the Old Trafford club from interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who departed at the end of last season.
According to Goal.com, ten Hag has asked United's board to secure two midfielders that will be of paramount importance to his team next term.
He wants United to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, along with free agent Christian Eriksen.
De Jong is available for transfer at Barca, but United are struggling to agree a fee with the Catalan giants.
Meanwhile, Eriksen is said to prefer a stay in London, and has interest from both Brentford and Tottenham.
