Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag hailed the Old Trafford fans for victory over Wolves.
United eked out a 1-0 win thanks to Raphael Varane's second-half header.
Ten Hag said: "We are back at Old Trafford. The fire is back! The connection between the fans and the team is there and we know every game is tough. You don't get your points for nothing. But we fought for it. People already have seen last season and also with pre-season but you see pre-season is different and, frankly, the league is different."
He added: "We gave away too many easy giveaways. That was not good. But you have to get into the season and we will improve on that fact. When you see giveaways, then you give them the opportunity to counter and then you have to follow [them].
"But I think we matched the runs and we dealt with it. The clean sheet, that tells [you] everything, and that we, again, have been here in Old Trafford and we have a clean sheet, which is good. Now we have to be better on the ball."
