Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is on a massive bonus to guide back into the Champions League.

Ten Hag has joined United on a £9m-a-year deal.

The Sun says United are facing debts of around £90 million if they miss out on Champions League football once again.

Some of which would come from their £75million-a-season shirt sponsorship with adidas, where the club would have to forfeit £25million if they failed to secure Champions League football for a second season in a row.

There would also be losses in television revenue, prize money and gate receipts that would account for further millions.

And Ten Hag would be due £3m if United return to the top four this season.
