A would-be thief in Tenom got more fibre than fortune after snatching a woman’s bag on May 26, only to discover it contained papayas, a bunch of keys, and a bottle of water.

According to Info X and a short viral video, the woman escaped shaken but unharmed—while the contents left netizens more amused than alarmed.

"Short-lived happiness, heavy load," quipped one user, while another added, "That thief must be traumatised for life and repent."

Police have yet to confirm details, but the fruit-filled twist has already made this Tenom tale ripe for laughs online.
