Kota Kinabalu: A tense unexpected encounter between two tigers and a kitten has worried netizens and visitors to Zoo Negeri Johor.

A TikTok post by user Haheng which quickly garnered over 1.7 million views and more than 114,000 likes features a tense moment where the tiny kitten finds itself dangerously close to the predators.

The footage shows the tigers curiously observing the kitten near a drain, with concern growing among onlookers.

Zoo staff quickly intervened in response to the situation.

One of the tigers withdrew entirely, while the other seemed to briefly enjoy the spray of water before backing away, creating just enough of a window for the staff to rescue the kitten.

The kitten was safely removed from the enclosure, much to the relief of the crowd.

The rescue was performed swiftly, ensuring the kitten remained unharmed.

The video sparked numerous reactions from the TikTok community, with many users expressing their emotions in the comments section.

"Why is the kitten there?" asked many netizens, speculating on how the kitten could have entered the tiger enclosure.
