Tension prevailed in Sohana on Wednesday after torn pages of a religious text were found on the main road around 11 pm. A passer-by noticed the pages scattered along the road after which locals gathered there. The police reached the spot and began investigation into the sacrilege incident.
A case has been registered at Sohana police station. A few religious organisation submitted a memorandum to the Mohali administration, demanding strict action against the culprits.
