Terror arrests in Manchester over suspected threat to Jewish community

• Two men in their 30s have been arrested in Manchester on suspicion of offences under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
• Counter Terrorism Policing stated that the arrests disrupted a suspected terrorist plot targeting the Jewish community in the Manchester area.
• The suspects were arrested on Newton Street in Manchester and are currently being held in custody at a London police station.
• As part of the investigation, officers carried out searches at properties in Salford and Liverpool.
