Tesla Malaysia is giving the public an opportunity to see its futuristic Cybercab up close through a nationwide showcase running from 29 October to 22 November 2026, with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang.
Designed as a fully autonomous two-seater vehicle, the Cybercab represents Tesla's vision for a future robotaxi service, featuring an unconventional interior without a steering wheel, accelerator or brake pedals.
The Malaysia tour introduces visitors to the vehicle's design and technology through guided walkthrough sessions, allowing them to explore how Tesla intends to develop autonomous transportation for everyday use.
The showcase began at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur from 29 October to 1 November, followed by Sunway Square Mall in Selangor from 3 to 9 November. The Cybercab will subsequently appear at Pavilion Damansara Heights on 10 and 11 November before concluding its tour at Gurney Plaza in Penang from 13 to 22 November.
Visitors can register for hourly guided sessions led by Tesla specialists, while those who complete a walkthrough or test drive an eligible Tesla vehicle will receive a mystery gift, subject to availability.
Although the Cybercab is designed for driverless operation, the Malaysia tour is a vehicle showcase rather than an announcement of a commercially available autonomous taxi service in the country.

What Is Tesla Cybercab?
The Tesla Cybercab is a two-seater electric vehicle conceived for autonomous ride-hailing, with a design that differs substantially from conventional passenger cars.
Unlike vehicles built primarily around human driving, the Cybercab has no conventional steering wheel, accelerator pedal, brake pedal or side mirrors.
Its design reflects Tesla's intention to develop transportation in which passengers do not need to operate the vehicle themselves.
Tesla describes the concept as a "mobile living room", placing greater emphasis on passenger comfort and the experience inside the cabin rather than traditional driver controls.
The vehicle is intended to use Tesla's camera-based autonomous driving technology, drawing on systems and software development associated with its existing electric vehicle range.
According to Tesla Malaysia, the Cybercab builds upon technology used in the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L, including vehicle connectivity, over-the-air software updates, profiles and Tesla's Full Self-Driving technology.
However, Full Self-Driving features in existing Tesla passenger vehicles do not necessarily provide unsupervised autonomous driving. Available functions and operating requirements depend on the vehicle, software version and applicable regulations.
The Cybercab's intended fully driverless operation remains distinct from the driver-assistance capabilities available to ordinary Tesla owners.

Inside Tesla Cybercab: A Two-Seater Cabin Without a Steering Wheel
One of the Cybercab's most distinctive features is its interior, which has been designed around two passengers rather than a traditional driver and front passenger arrangement.
Without a steering wheel or pedals occupying the front of the cabin, the interior reflects a different approach to vehicle design, in which the occupants are intended to travel without having to control the car.
Tesla's concept also incorporates connected software and personalisation features intended to provide a familiar experience across its ecosystem.
The company highlights the ability to connect a vehicle with its mobile application, manage passenger preferences and receive software improvements through over-the-air (OTA) updates.
These capabilities are intended to support Tesla's vision of a vehicle that can be managed through software rather than relying entirely on conventional vehicle controls.
For Malaysian visitors, the tour offers an opportunity to examine the Cybercab's cabin layout and understand how its passenger-focused design differs from existing Tesla models.
The supplied tour announcement does not indicate that visitors will be able to take an autonomous ride in the Cybercab during the showcase.

Cybercab Walkthrough Sessions and Tesla Test Drives
In addition to displaying the Cybercab, Tesla Malaysia is using the nationwide tour to introduce visitors to its existing electric vehicle range.
During the event, visitors can arrange test drives of the Tesla Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L, providing an opportunity to experience the company's current passenger vehicles.
According to Tesla, these models share elements of its camera-based technology and software development approach with the Cybercab concept.
Tesla's vehicles also support over-the-air updates, allowing compatible systems and features to receive software changes without requiring conventional workshop visits for every update.
However, existing Tesla vehicles are equipped with conventional driving controls and remain subject to the applicable requirements for driver supervision and road use.
For those interested in the Cybercab, the guided walkthrough is the main experience offered during the tour.
Tesla specialists will explain the vehicle's design, cabin and underlying technology, while participants may also ask questions about Tesla's broader approach to electric and autonomous transportation.
As places are limited, visitors intending to attend a guided session are encouraged to register in advance through Tesla Malaysia's official registration page.

Tesla Malaysia Expands Supercharger and Destination Charging Network
Alongside the Cybercab showcase, Tesla Malaysia has shared an update on the expansion of its electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country.
According to the company, its Malaysian network comprises 21 Supercharger sites with 92 Superchargers and 18 Destination Charging sites with 78 Wall Connectors.
Tesla also plans to introduce six additional charging sites by the end of 2026, covering locations in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang.
Superchargers provide high-speed charging intended to support longer journeys, while Destination Charging locations generally allow drivers to charge their vehicles at places where they spend more time.
The company says its growing network is intended to make long-distance travel more convenient, including journeys from Singapore through Malaysia towards Thailand.
Tesla also reports having supported more than 13,000 households in Malaysia with home charging arrangements.
In addition to charging infrastructure, the company highlights cross-border warranty coverage, service access and vehicle connectivity as part of its support for owners travelling between countries.
However, drivers should verify charger availability, vehicle compatibility, applicable warranty terms and cross-border requirements before planning an international journey.
The expansion of charging infrastructure is relevant to Tesla's current electric vehicle owners, although the Cybercab itself is being presented in Malaysia as a future mobility concept rather than a vehicle available for public purchase during the tour.
Tesla Model 3 and Model Y Promotions During the Cybercab Tour
Tesla Malaysia is also promoting selected financing and trade-in incentives for its existing electric vehicle range in conjunction with the Cybercab showcase.
The announced offers include:
- Tesla Model 3: Fixed interest rate from 0% or a trade-in rebate of up to RM10,000.
- Tesla Model Y: Fixed interest rate from 0% or a trade-in rebate of RM15,000.
- Tesla Refer and Earn: Eligible buyers using a referral can receive RM1,000 off a new Tesla purchase, while the referring owner receives RM500 in Tesla Credits.
Tesla states that Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L are eligible for its Refer and Earn programme, subject to the applicable terms and qualifying purchases.
Existing owners can share their personal referral links with friends or family members. Depending on the programme conditions, rewards may be used towards eligible benefits such as charging credits or software-related purchases.
The financing and trade-in incentives are separate options, as indicated by Tesla's use of "or" in the advertised offers, and should not be assumed to be automatically combinable.
The announcement does not provide a complete breakdown of financing eligibility, loan tenures, participating financial institutions or the conditions attached to individual rebates.
Prospective buyers should therefore confirm the final on-the-road price, financing terms and promotional eligibility directly with Tesla before making a purchase decision.
Tesla Optimus Also Featured in the Malaysia Showcase
The materials accompanying the Cybercab tour also include imagery of Tesla Optimus, the company's humanoid robot project.
Optimus forms part of Tesla's wider work in robotics and artificial intelligence, extending beyond its electric vehicle business.
While the inclusion of Optimus imagery provides another glimpse into Tesla's technology ambitions, the tour announcement does not confirm whether an operational Optimus robot will perform live demonstrations at every Malaysian stop.
Visitors interested in seeing Optimus should therefore check with Tesla Malaysia regarding the exhibits and activities available at their preferred tour location.

How to Register for the Tesla Cybercab Malaysia Tour
The Cybercab Malaysia Tour offers visitors a limited-time opportunity to view Tesla's autonomous vehicle concept without travelling overseas.
For those planning to attend, the most important details are the tour location, dates and availability of guided walkthrough sessions.
Visitors can register online through https://www.tesla.com/en_my/event/meet-cybercab.
The final stop is scheduled for Gurney Plaza, Penang, from 13 to 22 November 2026, following earlier appearances in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
Beyond the opportunity to see the vehicle, the tour provides a closer look at Tesla's ambitions for autonomous transport and how future passenger vehicles could differ from cars designed for human drivers.
For Malaysian audiences, the Cybercab's appearance is a preview of a developing technology rather than confirmation that driverless Tesla robotaxis are ready to operate commercially on Malaysian roads.
