Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor handed over cash assistance to victims of the December-2022 king tide phenomenon in Tanjung Aru, here, Tuesday.

Thirty-six heads of affected eligible households in Kg Tg Aru received RM1,000 each during a presentation ceremony held at the village's community hall.

Hajiji also announced that three of the families whose houses were destroyed by the king tide will receive an additional assistance of RM20,000 from the Government to build a new house.

The remaining 33 families whose houses were damaged will mostly receive RM10,000 in aid.
