Tabung Haji has implemented 75% of RCI recommendations to improve governance and wellbeing, with the remainder in progress

KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has adopted and implemented 75% of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) recommendations to improve its governance and wellbeing, with the remaining recommendations being “work in progress.”

TH said it welcomed the government’s decision today to release the RCI report to the public.

“TH has already taken note of the RCI recommendations on what happened in the past prior to 2018. TH has since moved on,” it said in a statement today.

The institution said it had also cleaned up its balance sheet and built up its reserves, enabling it to increase its profit distribution to 3.5% for the 2025 financial year, the highest level in eight years.

TH also said it had maintained the haj cost at RM33,300 per person for three consecutive years.

“TH remains committed to protecting depositors’ interests, strengthening public trust and ensuring the institution continues to operate with integrity and responsibility,” it added.
