THE trade exhibition held over three days from March 5 at the Impact Exhibition Centre, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand, was a great success, testifying to the dynamism of Thailand’s economy and the recovery of its tourism and hospitality industry, garnering 4 billion Baht in trade.

Daily Express was invited by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, with other international journalists from Europe, Middle East, Australia, and Asia to attend and cover the event, touted as a premier event for the hospitality, restaurant, and café (HoReCa) industry featuring over 460 companies from 25 countries including Thailand.

The event was declared open by Thailand Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, emerging trends, and strategic business opportunities shaping the future of food service and hospitality, being a comprehensive trade show for hotels, restaurants, cafes, and catering services.

In his speech officiating the event, Pichai stated: “Thaifex-Horec Asia 2025 is a distinguished trade exhibition for the HoReCa industry, encompassing hotels, restaurants, cafes, and catering services.”

“This is the second edition of this event, following the outstanding success of last year. The recovery of the tourism and hospitality sectors following the global pandemic, along with Thailand’s status as a renowned international tourist destination, has been an essential factor in the strong growth of the HoReCa industry.

“This edition of Thaifex - Horec Asia 2025 will undoubtedly serve as a crucial platform to bring together key players across the entire HoReCa supply chain.”

As one of the world’s most comprehensive HoReCa trade fairs, Thaifex - Horec Asia 2025 spans 27,000 square metres of exhibition space at the venue jointly organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse (KM) Germany.

The Thai government continues to drive international trade by expanding Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the recent Thai-EFTA and Thai-Bhutan FTAs.

Future agreements with the UAE, South Korea, Canada, and the UK are expected to attract further investment and open new market opportunities for the HoReCa sector.

With world-class infrastructure, a strong business network, and skilled professionals, Thailand is well-positioned to become a global hub for the service industry, according to Thai Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan.
