President Donald Trump stormed out of a tense Meet the Press interview with a parting misogynistic remark for host Kristen Welker on Friday (5 June).
The president sat down with Welker inside a Wisconsin barn for the wide-ranging discussion which aired on the news show Sunday.
Trump grew visibly agitated after the journalist challenged him on election fraud claims, slamming states like California before turning his insults towards her.
“They’re crooked, just like you’re crooked,” Trump said. “Your press is crooked and Meet the Press is crooked.”
Trump then stood up and claimed he had “had enough.”
“Thank you darling, have a good time,” he told Welker as he removed his microphone and walked out.
