PKR Deputy President candidate, Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli revealed that he had received an offer to join PAS after various ‘incidents’ throughout the party election campaign for the 2025-2028 session.
However, he said he was not interested in the offer and admitted that he only 'knows' one party, which is PKR.
"The invitation comes from the public and this is normal because in such programmes (social media talks), the audience is not only from PKR but also from PAS, Umno, ordinary people and even the opposition.
"Maybe many have forgotten that most of PAS supporters used to attend my talks once upon a time,” he said as reported by Sinar Harian.
This was especially when PAS was with PKR in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, and he was the one who exposed many issues and scandals that caught the attention of the people.
He added that this made him popular among PAS voters who knew his struggles from the past.
“I received many messages saying, ‘YB, I sympathise with you, believe me, only in PAS ... you will be lifted up’.
"When they see my situation like this, there will definitely be some who send messages to try their luck. Whether I am interested or not, is another story.
“I don’t think any party is interfering. I respect all parties, except Sanusi (Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor) who wanted to write a letter to Izzah (Nurul Izzah Anwar). The rest, I see, are very disciplined and courteous. There’s no interference in this PKR election,” he added. – May 17, 2025
