Recently, a series of photos that were posted by U.S Naval Diego Garcia’s official page went viral nationwide. This is due to the page posting photos of their employees that happened to look very much alike (and the older version) of the late passengers and cabin crews of the infamous MAS flight MH370.
Due to the major attention that these photos get, it caught the attention of one of the family members of the victims. Taking to her social media, a daughter of Andrew Nari, Maira Elizabeth, clarified in her instagram story that the person in one of the photos that were posted in AFN Diego Garcia’s official Facebook is not her late father.
The photo that is featuring an employee that works at a bike shop at Diego Garcia, is rumoured to be Andrew Nari from Sarawak, who was 49 years old when the MAS flight MH370 tragedy struck. Noticing that it might be Maira Elizabeth’s father, netizens are sending her the photo endlessly and it forced her to immediately clarify that the man in the photo is absolutely not her father, Andrew Nari.
However, Maira also thanked the public who sent her private messages and apologized for not being able to reply to all the messages. Andrew Nari was a Chief Steward in the MAS flight MH370, and Maira Elizabeth was only 18 years old when the tragedy happened.
To this date, no official statement is being made from the Malaysia government regarding the viral photos. What is worrying is there are more MH370 victim lookalikes discovered by netizens that comb through AFN Diego Garcia’s official facebook.
According to netizens, it is acceptable if it is only one or two people that happened to look similar to the MAS flight MH370 victims. However, the numbers of employees that look the same as the victims has now risen up to almost 20 people. The sighting included a Philip Wood lookalike, who famously asked for help through his facebook 3 weeks after the MAS flight MH370 went missing.
