Thirty years ago, the late Professor Dr. S.K. Chakraborty, invited me to speak at the Management Centre of Human Values, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata to share the key underlying significance of corporate values intervention in Malaysia Airlines (MAS). After the talk, my long-time colleague, Yazdi Jehangir Bankwala, introduced me to two people who have been instrumental in developing values and culture of many local and multinational organisations over the past three decades. Little did I realise that these two individuals would not only become my lifelong friends, but they would also change my life, both personally and professionally. (https://www.iimcal.in)

Dr. J.M. and Dr. Kalpana Sampath have been in the business of helping people find their best versions of themselves for more than thirty years. In that time, they've observed over & over that people can get trapped by their own fears, which in turn stops them from realising the wonderful potential inside them. In their years of R&D, they went deep, examining and rediscovering human potentials. (kalpana@arpitha.com; www.facebook.com/kalpana.EFIL)

As such, when Dr. Kalpana invited me to be a panelist for the Social Action Project (SAP) presentation by the Grade 10 students of Sri Kumaran Children's Home CBSE, Bangalore, India, I was more than happy to accept it. The SAP marks the culmination of the students' seven-year journey through EQUBE Life Education Program, which has aimed to nurture self-awareness, empathy, compassion, and social consciousness. Each student presented their project in a 3-5 minute slot, with pp slides, and then respond to all questions from the panelists who would provide feedback & final evaluation. I like their innovative ideas that impact the community. (www.eqube.in)

According to Dr. Kalpana, “Based on the evaluation process, the most outstanding project in each class is awarded the School SAP Award. The runner-up also receives recognition for their impressive work. Winners from all participating schools who excel in their projects will then have the opportunity to compete in the esteemed SAP Champions Award, which highlights the top achievement.”

She added, “The recognition of student-led initiatives, will boost their confidence and open doors for further academic opportunities.”
