Final preparations are currently being completed to turn Glasgow into Gotham City once again for the shoot of The Batman: Part II.
Production will be carried out at several places across the city this month, bringing anticipated road closures to the North Street and Newton Street areas.
Photographs taken in central Glasgow on Tuesday displayed bus stop timetables updated with Gotham City transport routes, alongside New York-style building awnings.
Specialised Gotham Police Swat vehicles, an American-style Gotham police cruiser and large transport lorries were also pictured ahead of filming.
Helmed by director Matt Reeves, this latest entry in the Batman franchise sees Robert Pattinson reprise his role as the caped crusader, alongside Colin Farrell playing Oz Cobb, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
Sebastian Stan has confirmed that he will portray the villain Two-Face. Talking about working with the film’s hair and makeup team who “devised how his disfigurement will look,” Stan said: “I’m excited, I’m nervous and trying to keep surprising myself.”

Additional cast members for the feature include Scarlett Johansson, Jayme Lawson and Charles Dance.
The movie is the follow-up to Reeves’s 2022 film The Batman, which took more than $772 million (£570 million) at the global box office.
The Batman was released in March 2022 and starred Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne and Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City police lieutenant Jim Gordon who investigated a series of murders carried out by the Riddler, portrayed by Paul Dano.
The sequel began full production in May, according to trade publication World of Reel, although second-unit work and technical preparation was already reportedly under way in Liverpool.

According to the BBC, vehicles had been spotted near St George’s Hall and the Queensway Tunnel, but the activity is likely more of a “technical recce”.
Earlier in May, Reeves posted images teasing snow-covered set pieces and the Batmobile driving through winter conditions, captioning one image “#SnowTires”.
It is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 18 February, 2028.
Glasgow has doubled as the fictional Gotham City a number of times previously, including in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises, The Batman (2022) and The Flash (2023).
