Staying around Phaya Thai during your visit? While the brunch crowd might swear by their avocado toast and act like anywhere beyond Sukhumvit is off-limits, we’re here to tell you—Phaya Thai is seriously underrated when it comes to brunch. Here’s why it deserves a spot on your foodie radar.
It’s not trying to be a vibe, it just is one. Somewhere between the BTS lines, old-school Bangkok flats, and random military buildings, Phaya Thai is where the city does things quietly. It’s giving lived-in like “I’ve been here since before brunch was a thing.” Unlike the chaotic cafe scene in Thonglor where it’s an influencer frenzy, brunch in Phaya Thai hits different, relaxed, and a little under-the-radar. So, if you’re in the area, here is our list of must-brunch spots in Phaya Thai.

The best brunch in Bangkok: Must-brunch spots in Phaya Thai
Yellow Lane
Vibe: A natural paradise

Yellow Lane is one of those spots that just gets it. When you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this little restaurant comes to the rescue with really good brunch and amazing open-air garden vibes. Dining here almost feels like a peaceful community where people bring laptops, dogs, kids, and a live DJ set here and there.
As for the menu, there’s freshly made comfort food. We truly adore the Loaded Chicken Sandwich, which is also their bestseller. The bread is perfectly toasted, and filled with heaps of a flavourful chicken mix. For something light, the avocado toast comes filled with a generous portion of smashed avo, which definitely scores them extra bonus points. Did we mention they also have a cold pool, steam rooms, and saunas in their backyard?
Location: 2, 92 Soi Phahon Yothin 5, Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400

Eggtisan by commonroom x ari
Vibe: Like you’re in the cosy home of your Japanese friend

A super tiny but seriously delicious little spot in Ari is Eggtisan, and yes, as the name suggests, it’s all about eggs. Their highlight is, of course, the Egg Sando. It’s the best egg salad sandwich you’ll ever have, but taken up a notch with those perfectly jammy, runny yolks that melt into a creamy, rich emulsion with every bite. Wrapped in a crispy yet soft exterior of bread, the whole thing is just a texture-flavour dream combo. They’ve also got other sandos and brekkie items, that are all eggs-tra good.

AMI Brunch & Bubbles
Vibe: Everything you love about Thonglor brunch spots, but more calm

Cosy and inviting, AMI is the kind of place you’d head to for a laid-back catch-up with friends, with a cheeky drink (or two) just for funsies. Before the food even hits the table, you’ll probably find yourself wandering out to the garden area for a little photo shoot, moments before chowing down on some good bites.
The menu leans into elevated comfort food, with OG favs like creamy Carbonara Pasta topped with a thick slab of bacon and Chicken & Waffles. If you’re in the mood for a little bit of everything, their One Bite menu is a fun little taster with options like Shrimp Salsa, Tuna Tartare, Ami Tart, and Salmon Tart, all available individually or as a full set with two glasses of house wine. They’ve also got an excellent selection of natural wines.

Kaffa: Brunch and Brew
Vibe: Soho House Bangkok, but no membership needed

Located inside Josh Hotel, Kaffa is a brunch spot where you can easily spend the whole day. Whether you’re starting off with breakfast and squeezing in a bit of digital nomad work, or lounging by the pool before heading up to the bar for a drink, it’s the kind of place you accidentally spend hours in and don’t regret. The interior is warm but trendy, with natural wood tones, cream-coloured walls, and loads of daylight pouring in, making everything (and everyone) look effortlessly aesthetic.
We love The Platter as it has a little bit of everything you’d want for a solid hearty breakfast. Think creamy tornado scrambled eggs, sourdough, crispy hash browns, a thick, juicy sausage, fatty bacon, roasted tomatoes, boiled spinach, and sautéed mushrooms. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, the Turkish Eggs are a great choice, where two perfectly poached eggs sit on top of herby Greek yoghurt, finished with a drizzle of chilli oil that gives it a flavourful punch.

OIKOS Brunch & Bar
Vibe: Feels like home, but cuter

If you’re looking for a brunch spot that feels like home but cuter and with better food and coffee, head to OIKOS Brunch & Bar. The Japandi interior blends Japanese and Scandinavian charm for that warm, calm, and minimal feel. As soon as you walk in, it’s all soft light, open space, and a sense of peace, making getting work done here a breeze.
They’ve got loads of savoury options, but the baked goods are the ones not to miss. The croissant ring is flaky, buttery heaven, but what everyone needs to try is the Vanilla Toast. It is made with pillowy shokupan and topped with vanilla and strawberry jam, plus a whole party of fruits and caramelised banana for that extra sweet crisp.

Yes, actual doodles and names, so you don’t accidentally steal your friend’s Pinot again.
They serve a mix of Thai, Japanese, and Italian fusion that’s great for pairing with coffee or wine. Thai tastebuds will be obsessed with the Hangover Pasta as it’s super spicy, loaded with chilli, and tossed in a rich, meaty sauce. STOCKROOM
Vibe: An artsy, hip cafe that’s beautifully decorated

A quiet, out-of-the-way little gem, STOCKROOM is where you go when Siam gets a bit overwhelming, but you still don’t feel like going far. It’s giving artsy hip cafe vibes, with well-thought-out decor and that calm, creative energy like you’re having brunch in Brooklyn. Because it’s so hidden, there’ll be no awkward run-ins with your ex or that girl from high school.
The menu leans heavily on Western influences, with super fresh, flavour-packed dishes that just hit. The Pumpkin Pasta, on the other hand, was probably one of the best we’ve ever had. As for the space itself, every corner has its own little design moment, so you don’t have to fight over who’s taking the first pic. There’s also a cute photobooth.

Zimt. German Bakery & Café
Vibe: Like you can fall in love with a stranger over strudel

Although we’re not totally sure how authentic this place is, the warm wooden interiors and the smell of freshly baked pretzels seriously feel like Germany. The crowd’s a mix of expats who know their sourdough from their rye, and coffee-loving locals who live for a good coffee and cake moment.
They’ve got all the baked goodies your carb-loving heart could want, but the pretzels, soft and chewy, are straight-up addictive. We especially love the curry wurst, which pairs beautifully with the tangy sourdough. Zimt is German comfort food, but in Bangkok.
