Now December is here, it’s time for excitement around the Christmas period to ramp up, big time. And, by the looks of things, supermarkets are pulling out all the stops with their Christmas food and drink ranges for 2023.

Whether you’re hoping to be the host with the most, working out your game plan for wowing on Christmas Day, or wondering how to shake up your Boxing Day party food, all the big names and usual contenders have launched seasonal menus – from M&S to Waitrose – with everything from showstopping canapes to dishes for the main event.

Most festive supermarket food can, of course, be ordered online, and retailers have already opened up pre-order time slots. You may want to consider how best to get the food from the store to your kitchen – whether you want to plump for home delivery or a click-and-collect service on a date much closer to the big day.

With that in mind, from vegan Wellingtons to passionfruit panna cotta and gruyère fondue, here are the Christmas ranges you can order online from supermarkets this year, from Tesco to Asda and Sainsbury’s.
