Move For Gold 2026 is more than a three-day event. It is a community effort shaped by the people, partners and local groups choosing to bring their strengths together for Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS).
Happening from 3rd - 5th July at The Hills and Pullman Kuching, Move For Gold 2026 is organised by DefyLAB in support of SCCS, in conjunction with the society’s 25th anniversary. While the event brings together fitness, wellness, family activities and fundraising, its real strength lies in the communities behind it.
Across the weekend, different groups will contribute in their own way. CrossFit Kuching will bring public CrossFit challenges for anyone ready to test themselves. Hornbill Swimmers will lead Swim to Donate and inflatable Family Pool Games, creating a fun way for families to take part. All Stars will present the Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge, encouraging children to build motor skills, focus, confidence and self-belief through active play.

The Fitness & Wellness Festival will also feature a strong line-up of instructors, coaches and wellness practitioners. Visitors can look forward to sessions including sound bath, yoga flow, Pilates, aqua aerobics, STRONG Nation, Jiu Jitsu, mobility and recovery stretch, women’s self defence awareness and nutrition talks.
Health-focused partners will also play an important role. Timberland Medical Centre will present health talks covering brain and spine tumours in children, cervical cancer, healthy ears and learning, and common childhood illnesses. Jaya Chiropractic will offer chiropractic and posture screening sessions, while Free Health Screening will also be available for the public.
Busy Goose Market 3.0 will add to the community atmosphere with local vendors and lifestyle offerings, giving visitors another way to spend the weekend while supporting the wider campaign.
Together, these groups show what Move For Gold is trying to build: not one organisation carrying a cause alone, but many communities moving in the same direction.
Visitors can support SCCS by coming to the event, joining activities, purchasing the RM100 Move For Gold Charity Cash Voucher Booklet, or making a donation. Purchasers of the booklet will be eligible for an SCCS tax exemption receipt, with proceeds benefiting SCCS.
