US Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene has 4 million followers on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
In her posting on X timeline 24 Nov 2024 that garnered 78,900 views, she shared her exclusive interview with @MariaBartiromo on @FoxNews with her 4 million followers.
In that interview, Greene who is said to chair a new subcommitte working alongside Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), that basically overseeing and auditing government expenditures said they will be looking at everything from government-funded media programmes like sex apps in Malaysia that caused the US to go into a debt of US$36 trillion.
According to UConn Today website, timeline 29 July 2024, Roman Shrestha, an assistant professor in the Department of Allied Health Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) and also a principal investigator at UConn’s Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP)., received a 5-year, US$3.4 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop JomCare, a smartphone-based just-in-time adaptive intervention (JITAI) aimed at improving access to HIV- and substance use-related harm reduction services for Malaysian gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).
The article also said Shrestha and his lab, the Shrestha Lab, will work with collaborators from Yale University, the University of Michigan, the University of Texas at Tyler, and the University of Malaya in Malaysia to develop and implement an app-based JomCare a potential solution to remove barriers to HIV prevention and chemsex - which refers to the intentional use of psychoactive substances before or during sexual activity and identified as a global public health issue.
She was not the 1st American politician who mentioned this.
Another American politician, Matt Gaetz who has 3.1 million followers on his X account reportedly said on his X account that American homosexuals engaging in chemsex should be outraged that the US were funding this in Malaysia.
He repeated the same where he reportedly slammed the Biden administration for funding a programme aimed at reducing harm among men who have sex with men (M2M) in Malaysia as reported in the Malay Mail on 23 Nov 2024.
JomCare, an app apparently developed by My Care Concierge Sdn Bhd described itself as a platform for health professionals - doctors, registered nurses, medical assistants, therapists, caregivers for eldercare and home recovery.
In their website, My Care Concierge Sdn Bhd describes itself as a provider of a wide range of quality senior living care solutions.
Whether it’s a misunderstanding or misinformation, both these personalities have a total of 7 million followers on their X accounts.
In Oct 2024 when ex-Fox News talk show host Tucker Carlson said Kamala Harris is the first Samoan-Malaysian at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan took to his FB to thank Carlson adding that if Kamala were to win, Malaysia will invite her to #balikkampung and try some #nasigorengUSA".
For both Majorie Greene and Matt Gaetz, any response short of an official condemnation will be doing an injustice.
Given the proximity these 2 politicians have with the incoming President, they are expected to feature prominently in the administration of the government in the US for the next 4 years.
And these 2 politicians have gone on records to their 7 million followers saying Malaysia is developing an app, JomCare with the assistance of a financial grant from the US taxpayers as a solution to address and improve access for the country’s gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) to health services.
It is common knowledge that same-sex sexual acts are criminalised through the application of various offences under the penal code throughout Malaysia and under state Sharia laws.
There are no exception for both of them not to know or be aware of this fact.
The country now calls on Muhamad Akmal Saleh to defend its dignity and for him to call on all foreign politicians to stop tarnishing the image of this country by associating it to be associated with the activities of the activities of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) acts which are against the laws of this country.
32 million Malaysians who have been shamed by the statements from these 2 American politicians are awaiting for Muhamad Akmal Saleh to stand up and defend them and the country.
