Shell Malaysia has officially launched the Shell Recharge App, marking a major step forward in making electric vehicle (EV) charging easier and more accessible for drivers nationwide. The app gives users a simple, secure, and reliable way to locate, reserve, and pay for EV charging directly from their smartphones.
Packed with useful features, the Shell Recharge App lets users link their debit or credit cards for quick payments, reserve chargers in advance to avoid waiting, and enjoy cross-border roaming that allows charging at Shell Recharge sites across Malaysia and Singapore using the same app. It also provides live charging updates and an in-app locator that shows the nearest available chargers for easier trip planning.
This launch expands on Shell’s ongoing efforts to grow its Shell Recharge network, which already includes Malaysia’s first high-performance charging (HPC) corridor stretching from North to South and East Coast to West Coast, as well as the country’s highest-altitude EV charging hub in Genting Highlands.
To celebrate the launch, Shell is running a one-day promotion on November 11, 2025, offering a special rate of RM1.11 per kWh for all Shell Recharge App users charging at any Shell Recharge HPC site in Malaysia.
The Shell Recharge App is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
